Disappointing! Junked after 4 years!
We were happy with the purchase in the first 3 years --- nice features, very spacious, and good cooling mechanism. On the 4th year (exactly on the month before its 4th bday), the freezer started to lose its cooling capacity. We had this checked by LG who offered home service. They brought in all their gadgets and for 3 weeks, they kept going back and forth, back and forth, and can never solve the issue. They asked to bring the unit ... view More
We were happy with the purchase in the first 3 years --- nice features, very spacious, and good cooling mechanism. On the 4th year (exactly on the month before its 4th bday), the freezer started to lose its cooling capacity. We had this checked by LG who offered home service. They brought in all their gadgets and for 3 weeks, they kept going back and forth, back and forth, and can never solve the issue. They asked to bring the unit to their service center. After one week, they claimed that the unit is totally UNREPAIRABLE due to internal micro leaks. This was an expensive, top of the line ref, which only lasted for 4 years! 10 years warranty claim for inverter/compressor was useless in this case. We are very disappointed with the performance. Aesthetics was good, the marketing was good, but quality and long term reliability did not deliver. Therefore this scores failing marks in value for money. Hide Review

Yes, it's really dissappointing
Same thing happened to me, internal leakage, it was only good for 6 1/2 years. There was no other way but to just junk it and buy a new one again. Paid 125k for it but it turned out to be disposable.
